Mass killings using various firearms in schools, universities, malls and movie theaters, and other public venues have penetrated our consciousness , shattered our feelings of security, and branded our memories with sadness and disbelief.
Before Columbine, mass killings and attacks at elementary, junior and senior high schools were unheard of. Now, as sad as it is, we are so used to them that the only questions we ask are "How many were killed" and"What were their ages?". Fortunately, the Bible and it's prophets warn us of times such as these, and tells us to prepare. Between Islamic terrorists, domestic terrorism, and our country's failing infrastructure and inadequate means to provide crucial services for those with mental and emotional illnesses and challenges, incidences such as those that have recently occurred will only increase in frequency and fervor. The question is: Are You Prepared Spiritually, Mentally, and Physically? When I began studying the martial arts over 45 years ago, I was taught only a handful of techniques dealing with armed assault from firearms, knives and blunt instruments. This was the traditional martial arts training of the last millennium. It did not matter if you were a white belt, black belt or a grand master; everyone, regardless of style or art, was taught the same 2 or 3 techniques. I developed the martial art of ACTS for today's world, to deal with the threats that face us in this millennium. Instead of 2or 3 techniques, I have put together a complete and comprehensive system for dealing with hand gun, rifle, knife & edged weapons, blunt instruments, and individual and multiple combative scenarios. Remember, traditional martial arts never had to deal with any type of firearm assailants. ACTS focuses a great deal of attention and emphasis on assailants armed with all types of firearms and how to disarm them using nothing but your own body. I am not aware of any martial art that is available on a widespread basis to the general public that is as comprehensive as ACTS. The higher levels of ACTS not only covers UNARMED defense of oneself, but the ARMED Defense of one's person using tactical firearms training and knife /edged weapons & blunt instruments. Unlike traditional martial arts, ACTS assumes that you will not only be defending yourself, but your family, friends, neighbor, and even your community with the participation and assistance of the same.
