What is A.C.T.S.?
The Adams Combat Tactical Systems ( ACTS) is a complete martial art system utilizing tactical firearms training, stick and knife fighting, and all forms of empty-hand combat and disciplines. The ACTS practitioner will blend all of the 3 areas into one complete cohesive system of personal and communal defense for the greater good of all and for the establishing of the Kingdom of God.
The name ACTS was adopted in order to refer practitioners to the Book of Acts in the Bible. The Book of Acts is a book that chronicles the intense spiritual warfare of the shlichim/apostles. Most people do not realize that every act or miracle is preceded or accompanied by intense warfare in the unseen spiritual realm. Just as the eastern or Asian martial arts are steeped in eastern mysticism, ACTS is very deeply spiritual and has meditative qualities rooted in Biblical traditions.
ACTS relies heavily on Biblical Spiritual Gematria (Divine Numbers). All ACTS techniques are based on seven principles of engagement. There are seven major categories of training. Each category is composed of seven techniques or subcategories. The practitioner is encouraged to master at least three of the subcategories and become proficient or at least familiar with the remaining four. The practitioner is free to choose which three of the subcategories best suits his or her physical, psychological, and emotional makeup.
Gematria Utilization: Three is a number of completeness, unity and truth. Seven is the number of perfection and perfect power. Ten is also a number of completion, and Twelve represents absolute authority, rulership and kingdom. The ACTS practitioner should practice each technique for a repetition of three, seven, 10 or twelve times. By doing so, with the consciousness of the spiritual power that each number represents, the practitioner becomes infused or anointed with that same power.
